Apartment Preview...

All right...after some lengthy delays, I am finally able to show some quick previews of my place. Please take a tour and enjoy!!

  • The hallway
First is the hallway leading to the door. Nothing very fancy there : just tanned walls not yet fully decorated. The hallway leads to the dining room.

  • The dining room

  • The dining room comes next with four chairs and a table directly imported from IKEA-Sweden... Adjacent to the dining table is the bar with a convenient opening towards the kitchen. There are no stools right now but one day... For those who remember, just two or three stools similar to the ones of the Maui Park Shores would be awesome. Nothing beats stools for early-bird breakfasts when we need to stretch the legs...

  • The living room

From the dining room, one may walk South towards the living room. The living room is really the fanciest place to be in the apartment. With a high ceiling and equipped with a nice fireplace, it gives a warm and cheering atmosphere to the condominium. Allright, I dunno yet when we will first try the fireplace but at least it is there... I suppose we should have given it a try earlier this week when it was so bloodily cold...

Notice the Air Tahiti Nui Airbus A340-300E in the middle of the room. Yeah yeah this is the most important thing there...

Next comes a close up of the fireplace quietly sitting underneath the San Fransisco Golden Gate Bridge.

  • Frisco, the suspended bridges, Crookedest Street, Stanford, Half Moon Bay and the whole Silicon Valley... I can't wait to get back there again.

Adjacent to the fireplace stands the door leading to the balcony. You may not believe it but we do have a view over some of Midtown and Downtown skyscrappers.

  • The kitchen

Adjacent to both the dining room and the living room is the kitchen. Well, nothing to say there as this is the rather typical roomy American kitchen. Stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, dryer and lots of drawers to put our stuff.

I like it so much that I can't keep out of it and cook during a sizable portion of the day. I have to admit that I enjoy cooking or better said experimenting... Kinda changes from the easy-life consisting of walking to Georgia Tech's Dining Halls every night. Well, well, well it ain't no good for the diet either I imagine...

  • And finally my bedroom

This is the hallway leading to my bedroom and the bedroom itself.

Still tidy, but for how long? This is the special double comforter version of my bed due to the polar weather surrounding Atlanta these days. -12°C last Sunday morning at eight o'clock... Speak about a weather...

Warning : this bedroom is a graduate student's bedroom....

Disclaimer : therefore this is also a working place...

Stupid life of graduate students. Well guess this the price to pay to become an educated aerogeek... Whether at school or at home, studying is the masterword. Kinda depressing, no?

Orthodox strategy did I hear ?

"Plan A was orthodox military strategy. We chose Plan B, which was unorthodox. With Plan B we achieved total surprise - which is also orthodox military strategy."
